Returning to our roots in the vocal and instrumental music of the 17th and 18th centuries, there will be music by Vivaldi, J.S. Bach, Handel, Telemann, Purcell and more.
Performed on period instruments such as baroque violins, viola da gamba and harpsichord, this concert marks the WMP debut of two wonderful singers: the soprano Angie Cheah and countertenor Jiayong Mei, while Elaine Yap will play Rameau's dazzling virtuoso solo harpsichord work Les Cyclopes.
For this special collaboration with Red Beanbag, there will also be a selection of cocktails and mocktails specially curated for the evening! Red Beanbag will also be open for dinner from 6pm on the day. We hope to see you there!

Hear, see, and experience the music of J.S. Bach, Antonio Vivaldi, Henry Purcell, Claudio Monteverdi as you never have before. We join forces with the groundbreaking dance group the Kenny Shim Dance Collective and the award-winning vocal ensemble Ottophony to create a compelling dramatic programme that brings music of the baroque period to life in the 21st century, grounded in the broader story of humanity’s eternal pursuit of freedom and liberty.
The sounds of period instruments such as the baroque violin, harpsichord, baroque flute, and viola da gamba will unite with the brilliant, provocative fluidity of modern dance. The spellbinding purity of the human voice contrasts with the beautiful, edgy avant-garde digital art of Zen Lin Tan and lighting by Amelia Tan, who are both Boh Cameronian Arts Award laureates.
A collaborative tour de force, Unbound is our most ambitious project yet and should not be missed!
